The Possible cause of Hypertension

Hypertension cause basically divided into 2 types:

1. Primary or essential hypertension is hypertension that is not known the cause (located at approximately 90% of all hypertension).
2. Secondary hypertension is hypertension caused by / as a result of other diseases.

Primary hypertension

Is likely to have many causes, some changes on the heart and blood vessels together probably cause increased blood pressure. If the cause is unknown, it is called secondary hypertension. In about 5-10% of patients with hypertension, the cause is kidney disease. In about 1-2%, the cause is a hormonal disorder or the use of certain drugs (such as birth control pills).

Another rare cause of hypertension is Phaeo chromocytoma, namely tumor on the adrenal gland that produces hormones epinephrine (adrenaline) or nor epinephrine (nor adrenaline). Overweight (obesity), an inactive lifestyle (exercise lazy), stress, alcohol or salt in food, can trigger the occurrence of hypertension in those who have a reduced sensitivity. Stress tends to cause increased blood pressure for a while, if the stress has passed, then the blood pressure usually returns to normal.

Some causes of secondary hypertension:

1. Kidney Disease
* Renal artery stenosis
* Pyelonephritis
* Glomerulonephritis
* Kidney tumors
* poly cyst kidney disease (usually inherited)
* Trauma to the kidney (injury of the kidneys)
* Radiation therapy of the kidney

2. Hormonal Disorders

* Hiperaldosteronisme
* Cushing’s syndrome
* Phaeochromocytoma

3. Drugs

* Birth control pills
* Corticosteroids
* Cyclosporine
* erythropoietin
* Cocaine
* Alcohol abuse
* Cinnamon (in a very large amount)

4. Other Causes

* Koartasio aorta
* Preeclampsia in pregnancy
* acute intermittent porphyria
* acute lead poisoning.

Catfish, a High Quality Nutrition

Cat Fish (Clarias spp)

Do not underestimate catfish. Food is easily available and cheap, besides rich nutrients also help the growth of the fetus in the womb and is very good for the heart because of low fat.
Catfish (Clarias spp) is a freshwater fish that can live in critical places, such as swamps, rivers, rice fields, lush fish pond, fish ponds murky and muddy places that lack of oxygen.
Included in the family catfish Claridae and often also called mud fish or cat fish.

Substance Source Nutrition

Fish is an important food ingredient as a source of nutrients. Freshwater and brackish water fish have a high protein, ie an average of 20 percent. Fish protein is a protein that special because it not only serves as an addition to the amount of protein consumed, but also as a complement to the quality of protein in the menu.

Fish protein contains all essential amino acids in sufficient quantities. Protein lysine and methionine of fish contain higher protein than milk and meat. Ground fish generally contain proteins with methionine and cystine levels are high.
Lysine and leucine levels higher than beef. Leucine is required for the growth of children and maintain nitrogen equilibrium in adults.

Leucine is also useful for breaking and formation of muscle protein. While lysine is needed by the body to assist the process of growth. Amino acid lysine to be the framework for niacin and often involved in the treatment of herpes.

Rich Phosphorus

Judging from the composition of nutrients, catfish are also rich in phosphorus. The value of phosphorus in catfish is higher than the value of phosphorus in the egg which only 100 mg. The role of phosphorus minerals ranks second only to calcium.

In the body, phosphorus-shaped crystals of calcium phosphate, 80 percent is in bone and teeth. Its main function as a giver of energy and strength for the metabolism of fat and starch, as supporting healthy teeth and gums, for DNA synthesis and calcium absorption and utilization.
Phosphorus needs for pregnant women certainly more than the moments do not contain because pregnant women need more phosphorus to bone her fetus. If the intake of phosphorus is less, the fetus will take it from the bones of the mother.
It's one of the causes of brittle bone disease in the mother. Phosphorus requirement will be met if protein consumption is also considered.
Judging from the comparison of potassium and sodium that reached 24,5:1, catfish can be classified as a healthy food for heart and blood vessels. Foods classified as healthy food for heart and blood vessels when the ratio of potassium to sodium containing at least 5:1.

Potassium known to be useful for controlling blood pressure, high blood therapy, and clean carbon dioxide in the blood. Potassium is also useful to trigger muscle and ganglion. High Potassium also will facilitate the delivery of oxygen to the brain and helps accelerate the body's fluid balance.

Low Fat, Cholesterol Press

Fat content of fresh and brackish water fish are low. Fat is found in the abdomen, especially the lower body and the heart. Fatty fish are mostly simple fats, namely triglycerides which are neutral and some are shaped like phospholipide and sterol complex.
Fish fatty acids are generally straight and has a carbon chain of carbon atoms between 14 and 24 atoms. Total saturated fatty acids between 17 to 21 percent and unsaturated fatty acids between 79 to 83 percent. The level of unsaturated fatty acids to create a high freshwater fish, including catfish good to suppress cholesterol.

Freshwater fish such as catfish also contain omega-3, although with much lower levels compared with sea water fish. The content of omega-3 on Farmed catfish (deliberately maintained) is much lower than wild catfish. Omega-3 is needed for the body to prevent degenerative diseases such as heart disease and blocked arteries. Omega-3 fatty acids also play a very important for the growth of nerve cells including brain cells.

Carbohydrates in fish found in very small amounts, about 0 to 1.7 percent contained in the form of glycogen. Catfish of the genus Ictalaurus punctatus does not contain carbohydrates because a fairly high fat content as a source of energy.

Typhoid Fever

Typhoid fever, or better known in the community by the name of Typhus, a
cosmopolitan disease or are found all over the world. Typhoid fever
caused by a type of microbe / bacteria called Salmonella typhi. This
disease still often appears in several places, even some areas in
Indonesia is endemic.

The spread of this disease originated from patients or carriers (those
who have recovered from illness but still contained in the excretion of
seeds disease), can contaminate food through, milk, drinks etc..

When a person drinks contaminated water or contaminated food does not
necessarily become ill on that day, but it takes time to breed
salmonella bacteria so that the population is high enough to interfere
with our body's metabolic processes. Period of pause when the entry of
germs into our bodies until the occurrence of disease symptoms is called
the incubation period. The incubation period typhoid fever between 10 -
14 days.

Typhoid Fever Symptom

• increased body temperature as tiered staircase up to 4 or 5 days
• Headache, dizziness
• aches in joints
• Awareness decreases
• appetite loss or decreased
• Sometimes a cough accompanied by
• diarrhea (more common in children)

Disease Diagnosis

Your doctor will usually see the symptoms and do anamnese to the
patient. Because for confirmation rather difficult, when the city is the
laboratory facility will be carried out several tests, among others:

•Test Widal test
• Blood cultures / gal culture

Widal test test laboratory will get the data immediately, while the
blood cultures require 24 - 48 hours and only expressed negative when in
one week the culture was negative.

Herbal Medicine: Diabetes Mellitus (Diabetes)

Plant name: Bungur/Lagerstroemia
Latin name: Lagerstromia speciosa
Family: Litraceae

Disease Diabetes (type -2) was much discussed, there are some already discussed, this time we will discuss about herbal remedies with wooden cortex of Lagestromia Lagerstroemia speciosa

Research conducted by Putu Pramitasari Faculty of Pharmacy Airlangga University (Poster XXXIX) with a rabbit in herbal medicine is proven. Lagerstroemia benefits is to improve the function of the pancreas,

Also has conducted research in Japan by Dr. Yamasaki (Hirosima University School of Medicine), in the study were in there Lagerstroemia plant compound called a Corosolic acid, in herbal medicine research is corosolic acid has functions such as insulin, which activates the change of blood glucose glucogeen into the cell.

Another study to prove the herbal treatment for diabetes mellitus using the compounds of the plant Lagerstroemia conducted by Dr. Judy at Willam at Institute of Biomedical research in Florida was proved corosolic acid significantly lowered blood sugar.

Lagerstroemia wooden cortex is easily consumed by grinding Bungur cortex as herbal medicine by entering into a capsule.

The Development Cycle of Malaria

We begin from the patients in the blood containing the malaria parasite (stage Gametosit micro and macro). Anopheles mosquito (female) to suck the blood of patients and was carried into the stomach gametosit mosquitoes. Micro (male cells) and Makrogametosit (female cells) to mate and form Zygote and migration through the stomach wall to form a Ookinet and sporulation selajutnya form Sporosoit mosquitoes spread throughout the body, especially in the Anopheles mosquito salivary glands. Time required to multiply in the body since the mosquitoes until ready to be transmitted in the salivary glands of about 7 - 14 days (depending on the type of plasmodium and environmental conditions).

Mosquitoes containing sporosoit (infective) in the saliva glands going to bite a healthy person and let sporosoit into the bloodstream and then hide in the liver cells to perform the multiplication and release stage merosoit into the bloodstream and enter cells, red blood cells. Incubation time in the liver cells is about 6 - 8 days.

Merosoit phase Palsmodium cells into red blood cells and will turn into phase trofosoit / ring / ring and Schizont phase. The laboratory will usually identify this phase in the cell, red blood cells. From one merosoit can flourish and broke into 16 to 32 merosoit depending on the type Plasmodiumnya. At the time thousands of red blood cells rupture that we will shiver.

Time since the infective Anopheles mosquito bite until disease symptoms appear (incubation period) of about 9 to 40 days depending on the type of Plasmodium and lingkungannya.Sekitar conditions one week after a person has malaria would be formed and makrogametosit micro phase and this is a phase that can be transmitted to mosquitoes.

* P falciparum from 9 to 14 day incubation period
* P vivax 12 to 17 day incubation period
* P ovale from 12 to 17 day incubation period
* P malariae 18 to 40 day incubation period

On the type of Plasmodium vivax, some merosoit will hide and multiply in the spleen and stay latent for several years. This is what causes a person sick with malaria again despite no longer being bitten by mosquitoes such as ni Anopheles.Keadaan called recurrence or relapse.

On the type of Plasmodium falciparum, can cause cerebral (brain) and symptoms of malaria are so great that often cause the death of the patient. But when you are finished / successful treatment of patients will recover fully and do not relapse.

Plasmodium breeding mosquitoes in the body where there is a process of micro and makrogametosit marriage known sexual cycle, while proliferation in the human body which does not occur is called the marriage a sexual cycle.
